Given the acute shortage of blood, Capital City Classic is partnering with Vitalant for a Blood Drive on Saturday October 24th.
Help save lives by donating at the event.
— Anyone can donate on behalf of a team, including mentors/coaches, students (age 16 years and older), parents/chaperones, etc.
— Donors between 16 and 18 years old will require parental consent.
— Blood donations will require about one hour including a monitored recovery period, during which the donor will be unavailable to the team.
— After blood donation, the donor should avoid strenuous activity and may feel fatigued.
— Individual donors will be given a special CCC blood drive T-shirt, as well as free drinks and snacks while they recover. Teams with donors will receive a commemorative plaque they can mount on their robot.
